Cross Creek NJROTC defeats South Effingham NJROTC
Shooting their highest score of the postseason Cross Creek NJROTC defeated South Effingham NJROTC 2169 to 2062 last week in the National Air Rifle League Invitational Tournament. With the win Cross Creek will advance to the Invitational Tournament championship game to take on North Brunswick AJROTC.
In their semifinal game Cross Creek NJROTC was led by, Marvin Pell who shot a 553. The remaining contributing members were Melvin Pell, Patrick Johnson, JinYee Ortiz, and Kirsten Sullivan. Cross Creek NJROTC is from Augusta, GA, and is coached by Jonathan Shaw.
South Effingham NJROTC finishes the season with an overall 5 - 4 record, including a regular season second place finish in the Navy JROTC conference. In their semifinal game South Effingham NJROTC was led by, Jayce Mock who shot a 528. The remaining contributing members were Chaeston Nomayor, Jacob Stapleton, Michael Alexander, and Alexander Novak. South Effingham NJROTC is from Guyton, GA, and is coached by Terry Stautberg.
Next up Cross Creek NJROTC will compete against North Brunswick AJROTC from Leland, NC. North Brunswick AJROTC currently has a 5 - 2 record. This is the first meeting between these two teams.
